NYC Construction Accident Fatalities Dropped in 2009 

New York construction accident attorney says that in 2009, there were fewer fatalities from NYC construction accidents than ever before.

According to George W. Ilchert, Esq., a partner with Lurie, Ilchert, Mac Donnell and Ryan, LLP (http://www.limrlaw.com), a personal injury law firm with experience in Manhattan construction accident litigation, New York City construction-related fatalities dropped substantially in 2009.

“Last year, there were only three workers who died as a result of construction accidents,” says Ilchert. “In 2008, 19 construction accident fatalities were reported. That is an incredible 84 percent decrease in the number of people killed in construction accidents.”

According to Ilchert, there were 12 construction workers killed on the job in 2007, while there were 18 construction accident fatalities in 2006. In fact, he notes, the number of construction accident fatalities in 2009 were the fewest ever. READ FULL STORY
